ACCESS REQUIREMENTS: 4X4/AWD + SNOW CHAINS
Our remote location at 8,000 feet has unpaved roads that are snow packed; this means that you will be driving ON compressed snow. Unlike a resort, our roads are not flat. They are steep, winding, and single-car width. We drive these roads every day and have never had an issue with access, but to ensure that safety, you must have a 4×4/AWD vehicle with four traditional metal snow chains. Think of an skating rink… you don’t want to be wearing sneakers, you want ice skates and that’s what we’ll ensure you have so that you are able to come and go no matter the weather!
A 4×4/AWD vehicle is a year round requirement to access both properties. Chains are additionally required between October 15th-May 31st. Below are the chain styes we recommend as these are the ones that we utilize ourselves and have proven to work on our roads. Alternative options such as ratchet straps, tire socks, plastic or other gimmicky options are not sufficient.
Please be aware that chains are tire size specific so be sure to select the compatible chain size. If you would prefer not to buy chains, we have limited sizes available for rent. Please inquire with us for more details.
